Cake o’clock

 


Sometimes it is enjoyable to cook, but sometimes it is not. People think it involves hard work, time, and effort. Even nowadays people order food for every meal. Even though it is not healthy, still most of the time they eat outside food. When I get time, I really enjoy cooking. Most of the time I like to bake cakes, as I love cake so much. Baking a cake is a fun and simple process that can be done by practically anyone. It is really easy to make and only needs to follow a few instructions and a few ingredients. Most people prefer homemade cakes, so it is important to know how to bake one. At first, I also wondered how to make a cake but later I learned this recipe from my mother. Now it is my favorite dessert which I can make by myself.    

               


           

What you will need:


To bake a perfect cake you will need some key ingredients and tools. 

Those include:

1. Eggs.  

2. Milk.                                            

3. Flour.

4. Oil.

5. Sugar.

6. Baking  powder.

7. Vanilla extract.

8. Butter.

9. Measuring cups and spoons.

10. Large bowl.

11. Baking dish.

12. Electric mixer.

13. An oven/ Cooking pan.


The baking process: 


It is really fun to bake cake with a rewarding experience. Here is a simple guide on this:

1. In a large bowl mix 2 eggs, ½  cup of oil, 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of sugar together.

2. Use a mixer on low speed.

3. Add 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, and ½ cup of butter.

4. Use the mixer on low speed for 2 minutes. Then increase the mixing speed to medium and beat.

5. Rest it for 5 minutes.

6. Preheat your oven and prepare your cooking pan/baking dish. Make sure to grease the pan with butter or cooking spray so that the cake does not stick.

7.  Pour the batter into your prepared pan.

8. If you are using an oven then bake the cake at 350°F for 15 minutes. If you are using a cooking pan then bake the cake at 350°F for 25 or 30 minutes.

9. Test the cake for doneness by inserting a toothpick or cake tester into the center of it. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.

10. Now take it out on a cooling rack or tray, wait to cool and you are ready to serve.



Troubleshooting:

If your cake is undercooked:


1. If your cake is sticky and wet in the middle, put it back in the oven and bake for a few more minutes.
2. If your cake is cooked on the outside but still raw in the middle, again put it back in the oven and bake for a few more minutes. Keep an eye on it, though, so it does not overcook.


If your cake is overcooked:

1. If the top of your cake is brown and crisp but the inside is still soft, just turn off the oven and leave the cake inside with the door open.
2. If your cake is overcooked and already burnt, there is not much you can do.

How to make whipping cream:

To make a perfect whipping cream we will need the following items:

1. Bowl.

2. Heavy whipping cream.

3. Powder sugar.

4. Vanilla extract.

5. Electric mixer.

 Process:

1. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl.

2. Whip them together at medium-high speed.

3. The soft whipping cream will be done in 2-3 minutes.

4. Now you can decorate the cake with whipping cream.


Troubleshooting:

If the cream comes out grainy and curdled, it means you have over-whipped the cream. It will make a thick cream layer. If the cream comes out soft or liquid, then you need to beat it for a few more minutes.

Looking something for sweet! Just bake the cake. You just need to follow the instructions carefully and you will be able to make a soft delicious cake at home anytime. Overall, baking is not as difficult as people think. I even add this dessert to any kind of family occasion or visit. To me, it is my favorite dessert. The perfect way to celebrate anything is with cake. You can never go wrong with cake. It makes every day just a little bit brighter.
