Exploring the Hidden Beauty of Bangladesh's Lake District

I have not seen paradise but I have seen Rangamati...! There are so many marvelous tourist spots in Bangladesh, Rangamati is one of them. Bangladesh has always fascinated everyone with its natural beauty. Someone likes the sea, rivers and lakes , someone likes mountains. If one wants both in one place then that is Rangamati. One can enjoy the beauty of the mountains while traveling by water. According to the Earth's calculation, 3 parts are water and 1 is part land. A day trip to "Kaptai Lake" made me think that Rangamati is 3.5 parts water and the rest land. My words may fail to describe the  beauty of Rangamati. One has to visit Rangamati to see & feel its actual beauty. According to the map, Rangamati is the largest district of Bangladesh in terms of area. So, beauty is hidden in the lanes and alleys of this district. Rangamati is mainly for those who are addicted to natural beauty.

My tour experience :

It was December(2020),  when my family decided to go for a trip for a refreshment after a very long and boring lockdown because of COVID-19. Then the place was selected which was "Rangamati". After that we started our journey for Rangamati. We reached in the very early morning , then we went to our booked hotel rooms and took some rest. After that we took our breakfast and went to boat station. Our guide contacted with a sailor , the deal was made to take us around all day and show all the tourist spots.

We started our journey at 10 o'clock. Though the boat was powered by an engine, the sailor was driving the boat very slowly and was showing and describing all the places. I felt so peaceful because after

a long time I could breathe a sigh of relief under the open sky. Life become miserable due to COVID-19 being confined indoors and wearing mouth masks to move outside and all the time to be afraid that did germs attack or not? As far as the eye can see only water and water and some small big hills, meanwhile we were moving forward. Our sailor had a hidden talent, we had no idea about that. While we were busy taking pictures at one moment he asked for the camera to click our photos. At first we felt hesitate to give the camera then gave him. Then he clicked my pic at first. When he showed us his clicked photo.....BOOM....! We all were shocked and asking him "How can you take such beautiful pictures? He replied," I had worked as a photographer for 3years in Cox's Bazar". Listening to all these stories we reached a spot, can't remember the exact name. After visiting the spot again we started our boat journey. Rangamati is a quiet town arranged in a quiet style. There is no heavy traffic of any kind. As far as the eye could see, only silence and silence. Bird calls are also very clear, reaching the ears hereThere's people are also so kind, friendly, plain and simple. Then we went the "Shuvolong" waterfall which is the 5th largest waterfall in Bangladesh.
It was noon and we were very hungry. We asked the sailor to take us to a good restaurant. Then he took to a restaurant in Char called "Changpang".

Kaptai Lake from the seating area of the restaurant seemed to have multiplied its beauty.

The traditional dishes.

We order there's traditional dishes for our lunch. About 30-45 minutes later the lunch was served. The traditional lunch of Rangamati will provide peace of mind at first sight. Rules of serving food, glitz, royalty. You will find the sweet scent of the Kaptai lake even among the dals. Basically, no adjective is enough to characterize these dishes. Rangamati's traditional bamboo chicken is also a part of these dishes. Bamboo Coral is another traditional part but we missed it because it is only available in the rainy season.

After having lunch, started our journey and finally we reached the hanging bridge of Rangamati. We were so excited to see this because especially, this one place makes Rangamati known to all.

After visiting the hanging bridge, the time came to return home. I was enjoying the beauty of sunset from sitting on the boat.
A mesmerizing moment.
This is how human fatigue is lost to nature, all mental fatigue and impurity are washed away.
